Standardized installation and operation
1. Installation requirements
(a) Direction and position: Floating ball valves need to be installed horizontally to keep the axis of the ball level and optimize sealing performance using their own weight; Special structure ball valves (such as those with anti spray devices) must be installed strictly according to the flow direction of the medium.
(b) Pipeline cleaning: Thoroughly remove welding slag and impurities inside the pipeline before installation to avoid damaging the sphere or sealing surface.
(c) Connection method: Flange connection requires uniform tightening of bolts to standard torque; Take cooling measures to protect the parts inside the valve during welding.
2. Operating standards
(a) Torque control: Avoid excessive torque during manual operation, and electric/pneumatic drive should match the design torque.
(b) Switching speed: Slowly open and close the valve to prevent water hammer impact from damaging the pipeline or sealing structure.
(c) Regular activity: Valves that have been idle for a long time should be opened and closed every 3 months to prevent the valve core from sticking to the valve seat.

Systematic maintenance and upkeep
1‌. Cleaning and Inspection
(a) Clean the surface dust and oil stains of the valve body every month, using neutral cleaning agents to avoid corrosion of PVC material.

(a) Regularly add PVC compatible lubricating grease (such as silicone grease) to the valve stem nut to reduce frictional resistance.

(a) Regularly replace EPDM/FPM material sealing rings (recommended every 2-3 years or based on wear and tear).
(b) Clean the valve seat groove during disassembly to ensure that the new sealing ring is installed without distortion.

1. Rust and corrosion prevention
(a) When the interface rusts, use vinegar or loosening agent to remove it in mild cases; Severe illness requires valve replacement.
(b) Add protective covers or apply anti rust paint in corrosive environments.
2. Handling of stuck cards
For slight jamming, try using a wrench to assist in turning the valve stem;
When severely stuck, use a hot air blower to locally heat the valve body (≤ 60 ℃), and use the principle of thermal expansion and contraction to loosen the valve core.
